Claire Spencer Claire Spencer is Chief Executive and founder of i to i research, a research consultancy specialising in insights and measurement around how people interact with brand communications.

Over her 25 year career Claire has been involved in some of the most high profile communication campaigns including the privatisation of British Telecom and London’s bid to hold the 2012 Olympics. 

She has worked with HM Government over the last 10 years in a number of conflict areas, including Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan providing research consultancy around sensitive issues such as targeting, message effectiveness and local population needs and wants.

Claire set up i to i research in 2001 after taking a year off to sail the world with her family. Since setting up i to i she has advised the Ministry of Defence, the US Army and a number of global corporations such as Philips (their global ‘Simplicity’ campaign), Pfizer and Merck on optimising their communication effectiveness.

In 2005 Claire was invited by the London 2012 Olympic Bid team to provide the research that proved instrumental in showing public support for London hosting the games. Her monograph “The Role of Research in Shaping and Measuring Communication London’s Bid to Hold the 2012 Games” is being published as part of a book entitled ‘PR Metrics’ (Routledge, Spring 2008).

Claire is co-authoring an IPA / WARC report on Effectiveness of Multi Channel communications to be published early 2009.
